Well, after using AMD64 on my desktop at work for over a year I've decided to trade it in for my P4 based laptop. AMD64 has been good to me, but I'm just tired of not having access to some important things, like Flash and Shockwave.

I've also decided to dump Gentoo Linux for Kubuntu. Gentoo is just too much of a pain in the butt to maintain. Constantly recompiling and dealing with their bleeding edge packages on every update is just not going to cut it in an enterprise environment.

That's my new theory on system management now: enterprise. In the last six years I've learned that raw performance and "cool-ness" just aren't working in a corporate environment. So, over the next few months I will be dropping Gentoo in all servers for the more stable Red Hat or Fedora.

More updates to come!
